LILEE Systems T-Cloud
About the project
LILEE Systems T-Cloud is a new business frontier for Lilee Systems. As Lilee Systems STS and LMS hardware assures internet conectivity connection, T-Cloud provides a platform for operators to monitor device performance and act along IoT events, such as vehicles performance, driver behavior, and passenger usage control.
I am the UX Lead at Lilee System in this project and worked with developers for implementation. We have adapted agile development in this project, each epic(user story) is generated from stakeholders, while the design is resposible for functional planning, UI/UX to frontend design of each function. This product was adapted by WeDriveU to use in companies transportation route.
We start from the users
Before we began, we took some time to map out the potential clients that would be using this platform, and who are we aiming for.
Set general design principles
Then we planned the general principles for the platform to tackle our users needs, both UX and UI.
Research and Explore
For each user story, we will explored how similar products do designs. In this process, we will come up with prototype of each and gather developers, PM, and stakeholder to compare and reach a most suitable decision.
Mockup and Prototype
We've used different form of prototype to communicate design with stakeholders, such as interactive HTML, animation clips, static page mockup, or even just words or draft on paper, as long as it can clearly demonstrate the desire behavior.
We used agile practices for development. Epic user stories are draft by stake holders, while design team figures out the best practice to achieve the goal and come up with interface features, flow planning, and visual design.
Results and Reflection
As the first designer in Lilee Systems, running projects from start to end demonstrates the design process built up in the company. This product was successfully adapted by WeDriveU, a major transportation player in Bay Area, to use in companies transportation route.
